Tanzania`s ascent on the world tourism charts continues. And why not? Even a small island like Pemba has enough to entice. Ruins of edifices built centuries ago, witchcraft, bull-fights, miles of remote, palm-shaded beaches, dive sites,... this is a fascinating destination that retains its old world charm and character.`The Ultimate Seduction` touches upon its many facets.

Starting with this issue, `This is Life` will reflect on various aspects of living.

The Corporate section highlights world economy, and nine-monthly forex and share movements.

On the social side, UNICEF urges the right of every child to immunization against preventable diseases, while `Dar Aspects` is about the survival struggle of a woman and her stepping into sunlight after a dark period.

This month`s`Canopy` focuses on the recently re-opened Goethe Institut that is all set to have an active year ahead. The cultural scene in Dar appears to be getting more and more lively. The European Film Festival, Contemporary Dance Festival, photo and painting exhibitions, and music concerts promise an exciting time. The beginning of the month itself is on a high-spirited note with the celebration of the much awaited Eid-ul-fitr.

Dar Guide wishes all "Eid Mubarak". Enjoy!
